Brief Professional Biography:

Dr. Prabhakar K, BDS, MDS, is an Orthodontist and academician with over 14 years of experience in clinical practice, teaching, and research. He currently serves as Professor and Head of the Department of Orthodontics, where he is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education, curriculum development, and clinical training.

Dr. Prabhakar completed his BDS and MDS in Orthodontics and is currently pursuing his PhD. His areas of interest include clear aligner therapy, craniofacial anomalies, cleft lip and palate management, biomechanics, and clinical research. He has guided several postgraduate dissertations and has contributed extensively to academic activities through curriculum innovation, research mentorship, and continuing dental education programs.

He has authored multiple scientific publications in national and international journals, including PubMed-indexed and Scopus-indexed journals. A life member of the Indian Orthodontic Society and the Indian Dental Association, he has served in various academic and organizational roles at various levels. Dr. Prabhakar remains committed to advancing evidence-based orthodontic care, fostering academic excellence, and promoting research-driven clinical practice.
