The primary goal of our Department is to relieve pain, and enhance the smile and facial aesthetics of our patients with state-of-the-art equipment and contemporary techniques.The Department has fully equipped, clinical sections for undergraduate and postgraduate students wherein all advanced treatment modalities are provided. A phantom-head laboratory with simulators resembling oral cavity for appropriate hands – on student training prior to clinical exposure is also on deck.
About Department
The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, is primarily concerned with the preservation and restoration of diseased teeth back to their form, function and aesthetics. The Department has both Under Graduate & Post Graduate programs, wherein students are trained in academics, research and patient management.
The postgraduate section has all modern equipment like Digital radiography using RVG and PSP systems, Dental Operating Microscope, Micro surgical instruments, LASERS, Instrument retrieval kits, Loupes, Endosonics, Air abrasion kit, LED light curing units, Thermoplastic obturating systems. It also has a well-equipped isolated operatory for microsurgical and micro endodontic procedures. A fully installed casting and ceramic lab with all equipment for doing specialized laboratory work helps postgraduate students to deliver comprehensive treatment to satisfy the patient needs.
There are two separate sterilization rooms with autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners which adhere to stringent aseptic protocols. The Department Library is stocked with journals and books by National and International authors for ready reference and updating of knowledge.

- Dr. Sakthivel, Post Graduate student, won the 1st prize for scientific poster presentation at the 19th Scientific congress of Asia Pacific Endodontic confederation held in Gurgaon in 2017

- Dr. Subha Anirudhan, Professor, won the Best Faculty Award for two consecutive years in 2018 and 2019
